TIMAMSO OPAL OF REDCAP - Tipsy
In 1995 I purchased a 'pet' beagle to join our family from Georgina Kemp (Timamso) and I have never looked back since. Tipsy was the most adorable puppy and when I collected her I asked Georgina if I might take her to a couple of shows, she said to go ahead. At her 2nd all breeds open show she went best puppy in-group and at her third she went reserve best puppy in show... I was hooked! Although Tipsy never reached top honours I had made many new friends and acquaintances and really wanted to continue to show Beagles. Although now 12 years old, almost totally deaf and very white around the face, Tipsy is still the 'boss' of the pack. I have always called her my obedient beagle (2 words which do not go together very often) as she walks to heel off lead, sits, gives her paw and never touches her food until I tell her she may! She has been a fabulous mum to her three super litters of puppies. I would like to mention that Georgina Kemp has always been of great help to me and is a true friend. PEDIGREE OF TIMAMASO OPAL OF REDCAP I have a full 10+-generation pedigree for Tipsy and would be more than happy to help anyone with any requirements on theirs. Although not making an impact on the show ring herself, her litter sister Timamso Topaz is now a Champion with 4 CC's and her full sister, Timamso Calypso, has 1 CC and 5 RCC's. Although very pretty, I did not feel any were what I wanted for the show ring and very bravely did not retain any (an incredibly hard decision when you are looking at your first litter!). This time I did keep back a tricolour dog puppy for 6 months but he grew on too tall and I eventually let him go to a pet home. Again this was a very hard choice to make, but as I already had one male in the family by this time, I had to be certain the pup would have done very well. REDCAP RHINESTONE COWBOY sired her 3rd and final litter and I kept Bracken (Redcap Over The Rainbow) to carry on Tipsy's lines. Tipsy is our couch potato now!
